Our Corporate Website Has Moved to Cloudflare Pages
2024.01.04
Our corporate website, which had been running on AWS (EC2) for a long time, has been migrated to Cloudflare Pages. Here is a brief overview of some of the benefits we have gained from the move.
Benefits of the Migration
1. Easier Content Updates
Cloudflare Pages provides a CI/CD environment for running builds of web frameworks such as Next.js, so CI/CD has made updating news articles and pages much simpler.
2. No More Maintenance
Moving to a serverless environment has freed us from the regular maintenance that managing the site on EC2 used to require.
3. Unlimited Requests and Bandwidth
- Unlimited sites
- Unlimited static requests
- Unlimited bandwidth
4. And All of This Is Free
For details, please see the official Cloudflare Pages website.
Although the website consists mostly of static content, we took this opportunity to rewrite it in Next.js. The contact form email used to be sent by a PHP backend, but with the move to Next.js we switched to Amazon SES.
Precisely because the site involves almost no complex processing, it was easy to take the step toward Cloudflare Pages, and the results have been excellent. We look forward to working with you in 2024!
